Ramie is the official name for fabric made from the asian Boehmeria Nivea plant, a member of the nettle family and a great fibre to wear. Easy to care for too!

Being anti-bacterial means it will not take on natural odours nor stains easily, so does not need frequent laundering.

Good for you and for the planet and it makes ideal travel wear too.

Irregularities in the weave are not un-common and add to the vivid texture of your garment.

Wash: 30C machine wash with a non-bio (better not to use fabric conditioner, it reduces the beneficial properties of the nettle fabric)

Best to let it air dry, which it does fast.

Wash dark colours separately at first. For the very smart look: iron on medium heat (but you might get away without it!)

Ramie clothing is best stored hanging or on top of the pile.
